in 1983 the justice minister of the Netherlands wanted to drop the age of consent to 12 year old (it was 14 back then, ** thank you boomers **) currently the age of consent in the Netherlands 16 (so they raised it by too), but it was narrowly defeated back then.

Note: the justice minister proposing this was from the Christian Democrat party, just to let you know that although the demons hang out on the left, its the christian democrats are infiltrated aswell
