Xmas Is dead

always thought it was a rip off and was just an excuse to sell something, but it is for the kids. I still remember a trike I got when I was 7

@SoloMan Zone: Yep I remember being a kid at Christmas and some of the present's I got? I can remember getting a toy Garage with petrol pumps as well, the rest of my presents were little rectangular boxes, you can imagine what they were? Just in case they were corgi and dinky car's! Later on I got an Action Man and the good thing with that was with pocket money you could add uniform's and weapon's to his collection. The same with "Major Matt Mason" by Mattel. then as I got older it became Sock's and jumpers and a crappy Cassette Recorder that my dad bought as shopped soiled of a friend that worked in Curry's, the bloody thing never worked properly. didn't even have a box, it was just wrapped in "USED" Christmas paper. I still love to play the traditional carol's though and I have them o Vinyl as well from Winchester Cathedral . My Mum died just after Christmas 1970 and I have a tape of her speaking that my cousin did for me, and it's nice to listen to that occasionally like at Christmas? As for my Dad? well hopefully he is dead seeing as he would be in his 80's now? I do have one thing to thank him for though, that was those sunday mornings standing on the bumper of the Car when I was small and getting shown how the oil and water was checked and little things like that. That is my only legacy from him is my ability to fix just about anything - but this world that is?

@SoloMan Zone: Now Christmas is DEAD, all the other's can feel like we do, iut's become a great "Leveler". You struggle and get conned and used by the system only to lose it all in the blink of an eye. Now the world is changing - LESS is MORE. @bigintol03: Same here, not just NOT the country I was born into but the WORLD I was born into. frankly I find nothing really to keep me here? but I keep going out of curiosity to see how it turns out. My next big life event is the grave so I don't have any reason to give a shit anymore, and that is SO liberating. Stop fearing death and you wont ever fear anything ever again!

I'm not married (never have been) I have no children, I'm an only child, and except for one uncle, I have no family left, and like yourself, it's only a morbid sense of curiosity that keeps me going! I really don't think that anything short of Devine Intervention can save us from whatever is coming next, because it ain't gonna be good!

@bigintol03: I was married just the once many decades ago, I had a Kid who was poisoned by her mother and I didn't have her at Christmas ever. i have a younger brother who for reasons best known to himself freaked out years ago and doesn't talk to me? now that one is a mystery to even me? i like your term "Morbid sense of Curiosity and Humor! that's me as well, But it keeps us going doesn't it? in truth I past caring anymore. I'm enjoying what life I have left ith little but enjoying what I have all the same? As for devine intervention? Hum1 that's a sticking point for me. I look at it this way, if you created something fantastic and cherished it, you added all the whistles and bells and accessories, then something came along that wanted and in fact was destroying it? wouldn't you do something about it before it destroyed even the good parts? Books can say this or that, but If i were God I would have started to remove the BAD parts by force by now? Not leaving the goos parts in a corrupt world or even removing them to god knows where away from their familiar home that was created for them? So where is God? where is this return we hear about, It's certainly NOT the Big RESET I know that? All we can do is as individual's work out our own lives and forget broken promises and expecting help from anywhere? peace my friend, i like your comments as well.
