Violent clashes erupt at protest against Peruvian president

Hundreds of people took to the streets of Peru's capital to protest against the government of President Pedro Castillo. Police in riot gear set barricades to block streets surrounding the Government Palace. When protesters attempted to remove the barriers, they were met with tear gas.
