The full 308 - It's a fairly impressive amount of shooting power.....
The range, accuracy and all of that..
I like Full Auto's and Semi-Auto's - but unless your engaging multiple targets in a concentrated area, in rapid success, and someone else is paying for ALL the ammo - they are for the most part, a waste of an enormous amount of expensive ammunition.
This is a combat weapon, not a food on the table weapon.
Though when hunting large herds of wild pigs from a helicopter - it's ideal.
This is about the only legitimate purpose for a gun like this.
And plus for most of Australia - what one needs to hunt pigs and roos to put meat on the table - this is a lot of fire power.... and a simple bolt action, with a 4 or 5 round magazine is enough to get enough meat for a month or six - easy.
So the gimmick of a large capacity magazine in a semi auto with a very powerful round is more of a specialist tool than a "meat on the table" rifle.
