The OP: It sure is not "wild caught" and it ain't organic. I have stopped eating out because what we are getting in the grocery stores to eat is bad enough.

Yeah I have bought the same thing in Australia and I thought while cooking it, "There sure is a LOT of water in the flesh" - because if you cook them slowly in a pan with the lid on, they shrink to 1/5th their original size.

Luckily, I have a rod and reel.

@sauger1001: I was being a smart arse..... LOL Actually these are my favourite reels.... the hand lines. IF you carefully scrape off the flashing (the plastic that squeezed out of the injection moulding dies, with a scraper - and then fire glaze the scrape marks so it's glassy smooth - they give flawless casting and if you do it just so - you can easily cast further than a rod.... https://www.hookedonline.com.a....u/assets/full/308c8r

@sauger1001: See that little line on the top - outside - it's all that shit that snags and drags the line from a good casting... and there are a few joint lines running from the bottom to the top, on the outside, under the fishing line, they are a cause of shitty casting too...

@sauger1001: If you scrape them with a hard knife, at an angle and a reverse angle to make the knife just drage across instead of digging in and you do it lightly and in a way so the blade doe not chatter over the reel - and then fire glaze it with a cigarette lighter, they become glassy smooth.
