You need to bench mark your audio - get a GOOD recording with a GOOD volume level and then adjust your microphone input levels and or the distance the microphone is away from your mouth, so it is all reasonably constant from recording to recording.
This video - the sound is turned all the way up, via the screen volume level, the computers mixer and the audio amplifier and it's still hard to hear.
