Scholz looks to expand Germany-India ties while blaming Russia for food insecurity

German Chancellor Scholz tried to convince India’s Prime Minister Modi to side with the West against Russia during a visit to the south-Asian state, peddling ‘blame Russia for the food insecurity’ narrative along the way. PM Modi, for his part, claimed that India adheres to a neutral status and is ready to contribute to - and mediate in - any peace process.
