Those were kind of sad. I'm so glad my dad raised and taught the way he did. The best lesson he ever taught me was when I was twelve.

He was a mechanic. Well one day after work before he cleaned up he asked if I wanted to go to the local coffee shop. So we went and bought some items. By the time we got home his buddy was there. His buddy owned a 911 Turbo. So he asked me to go to the coffee shop again. I was confused but agreed. What twelve year old boy would turn down a drive in a Porsche? Just before we pulled into the parking lot he said "Watch the women". The reaction was night/day. First trip no one payed attention. Second trip the women clustered around us like flies on shit. Meanwhile the only thing that changed was the car. Afterward he told me "While all women aren't this way most are. Use those one's to your benefit.". I owe that man more than I can ever repay. I did my best to pass those lessons onto my son.

Btw he made sure the Porsche didn't get dirty.
