I remember hearing something from Tom Hardy saying that being alone can be addictive. I’m at that point and I’m fine with it. When you think about it, you leave in about the same state as you came in. The relationship just creates the illusion that you are not going through this mess alone. But it’s an illusion, just like how women love men. Capricious, fleeting, ephemeral, and perhaps simply something entirely in our heads. The game, the pretending to be interested, the boring conversations, their stupid interests and vapid pursuits. The only thing that puts a surprising amount of thought is keenly attuned some of them are and use that information in their manipulations. It almost reminds me of something else. Anyways….
