darius rucker's ex almost took herself out by overdosing on drugs recently in california (shithole). Some of the people she was with actually took their final ride. Darius should make a new song called "let her die: sniff that crack right up your nose" haha
sad.sad.sad. the choices we make, if only women knew the meaning of that sentence...
Sounds like she might be about whom he was talking. Many artists who are able to articulate their "tragedies" through their creative passions seem to do quite well, even through their internal pain. You can almost hear it in his voice while singing. Really tugged at my emotions. Great album, BTW.
Some people just don't want to be saved. You gotta' "Let her go".
@sauger1001: i know man my joke may be a bit harsh, we should hope for the best for these people I suppose, but man, these older people still doing hard drugs, its hard to have mercy for them. The way I look at it is like, your soul and life is like drying cement, the older you get, the harder it is to reshape the cement. As they say, old habits die hard. If you are in your 30's and 40's and still doing hard drugs, man its a dark future for you in most cases, many a person has lost their life the same way. What is worse is the cavalier attitude these people take to it, and the lack of shame they have for what they do. Every time you are putting these drugs of unknown origin in your body you are playing Russian roulette with your life, these degenerates that hand out these drugs have no concern for human life, that's why they just casually spike their drug concoctions with fentanyl and who knows what else.
@TelepathicRapist: Yep, and from that we get George Floyd, who also died from Phentanyl, not from a cop's knee on his neck.
Great song from a pretty good album ("Cracked Rear View"). Have had the CD several years.
This came out when I was like 6 :p
@SaintEvrest: I was starting Grad School. Awful memories get dredged up by anything from the 90's.....
@InfiniteMushroom: yeah, Dave koresh is a heck of a drug LOL
@SaintEvrest: Yeah, Branch Davidians, Heaven s Gate, now the "Branch Covidians". SMH.
@SaintEvrest: Goddamn...I was 17! I remember this song my senior year of high school...along with Mariah Carrie's "All I want for Christmas is you" in '94! lol
@sauger1001: Not to mention Jim Jones (Jonestown). Must have been some damn good Koolaid, to die for. SMH.
