Back around '92 I had a great job as an installer working is million dollar homes.. made 50 grand annual. (today same job pays about 30 thanx immigrants) anyways pulled into Publix to get a sandwich from their deli.. These dudes in a white van told me they were from out of town and had a customer cancel an order and they had these awesome speakers they wanted to sell .. well, they were talking to the right guy.. So I take a look at them.. nice looking speakers. Acoustic studio monitors 12" woofer mid range and tweeter with controls.. I paid about 300 for the pair.. oh, through the years have had so many hours of unbelievable listening enjoyment.. such a good investment. I think they are Bose clones.. Anyways, while listening to When the levee breaks one of them started to crackle a bit.. not long ago.. 30 year old speakers now.. my friend noticed it first.. he says you blew your speaker man.. lol.. I pulled the cover and twirled the controls a bit and it disappeared.. I enjoy everything from the best classical to Metalliica on them.. what a good deal.. stories about shady characters selling speakers out of vans? Well not much art to this kind of Music . You can do it with power cords and pre recorded machine sounds . oh and a ground pounding drummer ! Just my Opinion . It doesn't Matter much .
