Hope you've enjoyed the thoroughness of these calculations. Some of you might be wondering why “status” wasn't included in the method. Here are the reasons:
1) Most importantly status is extremely hard to quantify. When it comes to money or height we can use objective numbers to give ratings. As for status it is mostly an arbitrary metric. We can’t use Insta followers because a lot of people either don’t use or don’t take social media seriously. I wouldn’t consider myself below average status as my social circle is mostly in real life. I don’t have a big online presence so using Insta followers would unfairly affect my rating
2) Status is linked with money a fair amount. No, I’m not saying they are the same, however they are correlated so you’d get “double counting” when factoring in both of these metrics.
3) Status is ambiguous. If you ask any dating coach “what is status” or “how can I increase my status” you’ll get 100 different answers. As for something like height there is no ambiguity and if you ask “how tall are you” the response will always be a number
4) Status essentially has zero effect on your SMV unless you’re in the top 10%. If you go from top 75% status to top 50% status you’ll likely see minimal or no effect on your dating life
5) My calculations are adaptable. If you are frustrated I didn’t include status then you can tweak the criteria and weightings a little to suit a system you believe is more accurate. You can even make your own video if you like with an adapted system. This will also mean you’ll need to find a way to measure status objectively, so I wouldn’t be surprised if you run into some of the same problems above I had trying to incorporate status.
