I watch boating videos that are made with hovercraft drones and they do seem to work great.. srry to hear you may hang it up..

probably some ai assist programmable nonsense.. If it was just gyro assisted fully controllable you would not have those flyaway issues I imagine.. Conventional helis use gyros I believe.. but will not fly themselves.. The gyros just help to stabilize the aircraft.. You could make a blimp for photography. on wire or rc with power... or maybe try one of these with electric power.. takes training though.. https://sigmfg.com/products/si....g-kadet-senior-sport

i think a blimp would be cool. a ballast box underneath with the control equipment.. you weight them for nearly neutral flotation // then with propped motor, elevator and rudder controls.. can fly it around.. up, down, left, right.. could use twin motors ,, even with speed differential to help steer..

Planes and helicopters are hard to fly but I just wanted to get video and flying a drone is the best way.

I don't know much about drones but most mechanical things can be upgraded.. maybe that would save money and make it work right..
