I think you hit the nail on the head. I used to run scenarios in my mind about how I would tell her the pain and heartache that she caused me when she came groveling back.
It never happened and it's been 30 yrs since the breakup. I'm glad I gave up on that fantasy a long time ago. Better to use my focus on all the other important stuff going on in my life.
