Dogs In Space (1986) - see my pinned comment below.

I stopped watching this movie a long time ago - it had it's time and place and I needed to recreate a history so I could say good bye to it. While I had nothing to do with these people, it was a part of my world and I participated in these events, in this part and areas of Melbourne.

In some ways it's very good - and the overdose death was very well portrayed - but the drug scene was a place of lost souls for want of a better insight. And just like in the movie, everyone who did drugs, fucked up badly and the only one who came out of it was a straight guy who went head down and arse up into the engineering degree and didn't do drugs.

I basically refuse to watch this ever again... There is nothing but a lack of connection, huge losses and enormous amounts of death and decay - most people never made it out - but I did.

These people and events are not a place or time I can ever go back too and nor do I wish too - but it's an important gateway into the past - especially if you have not processed it and have had these issues, and wish to reprocess them, in order to finally say good by to the past, so that you can have a future.
