Cremation for Nepal plane-crash victim held in Pokhara

Over 150 mourners gathered in Pokhara, Nepal for the cremation ceremony of Tribhuwan Paudel, a local journalist and editor, who died in the plane crash when Yeti Airlines’ twin-engine ATR 72-500 plummeted into a gorge, killing at least 70 out of 72 onboard.

Why do people posting this shit, call it "disturbing" - when open air cremations are normal in this part of the world and no one there gives a fuck, and not that there is anything wrong with it - but you don't see any burning bodies anyway?

Cremations are a good way to dispose of the fresh and not so fresh dead.... it's hygenic, it's fast and I am not sure of the conditions there, but I'd imaging that the ground is frozen and rock hard... that there is not a lot of free and open space to bury people in, and burials are kind of out of the question - and they are not the normal way to dispose of the bodies....
