Clashes erupt in West Bank over Israeli settlements

A protest against Israeli settlement expansion has descended into clashes in Masafer Yatta near the West Bank city of Hebron, with tear gas deployed. Earlier this month, the Israeli Supreme Court rejected a petition against the eviction of more than a thousand Palestinians from their homes in the area.
