Ah, the silent comedies. Hal Roach directing, and Harold Lloyd starring were the shyt, waaay back in the day. Dude did most of his own stunts. Scaling up buildings, hanging off of wooden planks 5 stories up. Real stuff, no trick photography.

Pretty much. A tiny bit of trickery though , example: clock scene in Safety Last (which I'll post here), the building was 8 or 9 stories, he's hanging from the side where it's a 2 or 3 story drop to another roof. That was 'special effects' back then. Ha. Love these things, got tons, will post more. Did you see the Keaton one? Motorcycle scene at the end is hilarious.
