I NEVER liked this technology.

Not entirely... just the minor details like a total lack of control like "On" and "Off" - for instance.

And the idea of setting it on "Auto Pilot" while you have a sleep.....

Hysterics.

"Oh the software is hacked or it glitches" - says turn left when you should have turned right.....

Cliff, power pole, highway traffic, trees, steep embankment, rocky wall, oncoming traffic etc., etc., etc.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I am not against the issue of (semi) automomous vehicles under all circumstances, in all places......
Like trucks in mines, forklifts in ware houses etc... and much other automation.
I am not unreasonably frightened to death of industrial robots, and they are sort of intrinsicially safe, with closed cells or fenced off areas - with safety interlocks etc., it's the fact that they can start up, move fairly quickly and break people in two or just rip huge holes through them, it does not mean huge amounts of force or speed - inertia is a real issue.... Like a 500 Kg mass travelling at 10 Kmh will just rip through what ever is in the way and humans are very soft, easy to break and easy to tear up and open.
Often they are quick, they are quiet, and they can start up and move, without notice etc...
Many of the worries I also had about it. You just know some cunt 'kid' adult will just have to try and do that for shits and giggles, not caring who gets hurt/killed. Though I do believe china stole teslas stye/design as they've done with EVERYONE/EVERYTHING so this one likely is china's design fuck up more then tesla. But I want neither of them anyway.
@Straven: Yeah and the speeding car - there are many places in that video where the speed is frighteningly fast... AND the question arises, partly "Why did it run away - out of control at full speed?" and mostly, "Why couldn't the driver turn the car off?" - fuck that..... In the old carburettor vehicles - if the throttle cable broke, the carburettor had a spring that would close the butterfly - and the car would switch to a default IDLE setting.... But the Tesla ========> Full Speed Ahead with NO off switch.
Double fuck that x 1000000 and 1 times.
Electric cars, like the useless covid masks and the clot-shots "cure", are another tool to normalize new ways to poison, maim and assassinate the masses.
In one sense I really like them, but they are a little bit problematic - like the "Nuclear Option" - where the batteries take a hop, a skip and a shit..... (pop, fizz and atomic blow torch) for the incar cremations, or they go into the secret easter egg DR (drag racing) gear, and stay there until you die..... etc.
@Life_N_Times_of_Shane_T_Hanson: When enough expenditures of goyim and coin, the Overlord class of the WEF will solemnly declare "Whoopsie!" and switch directions once more back to "non-renewables" and the internal combustion engine.
But not before asking (telling) for amnesty. As the last of the coin and goyim are dispatched to oblivion.
The truth is, if the Chinese driver had taken control of the vehicle away from the AI, then the carnage would have been far worse.
Yeah I get the joke... but it would have been a pretty frightening last few minutes of that persons life.... and fuck Tesla for NOT putting in a simple "POWER OFF" type of manually operated, mechanical knife switch..... (see below) It just disconnects the batteries from the motors.... Fuck everything else about this though... Very frightening.
The most tragic part, is that in China, it's just another disposable body; the equivalent of an aborted body here in the West.
Wow. Just wait until the self driving trucks are out of their "test phases", and allowed to wreak havoc on our highways. Following the Trillions in lawsuits, Elon Musk may as well change his name to Elon Duke (Trading Places).
I dunno - there are issues with the hardware, there are issues with the software, there are issues with the real world - and the autonomous vehicles going through it. It's ironing out all the bugs so that the crash rate of the trucks through internal faults, glitches and programming errors etc., is substantially LOWER than all the other reasons for driver caused or driven truck trashes. There is the issue of proportional risk..... if a properly set up AI autonomous truck just doing interstate / highway runs, has an "all causes combined" crash rate that is say 10% of driven trucks... then do we look at the impressive safety record, or do we harp on endlessly that the AI trucks are not perfect enough? You know the old "Frankenstein Switches" or blade type switches.... There is NOTHING so simple and so fucking fundamental as this, in a fucking Tesla car. https://cdn.shopify.com/s/file....s/1/0073/1797/9225/p
