Women want the wedding (preferably one with a horse drawn carriage with glass slippers on their feet), but not the marriage. That's too much work. A year or two, then on to the next ride on the "carousel".

"Everyone was in a bubble" describes the issue pretty well. It seems that regardless of a woman's beliefs, the echo chamber is always a trap she'll risk falling into. I've met Christian women that had issues. They'd act as though they didn't, many truly believed they had their station in life figured out, but open minds (or perhaps hubris) meant they were willing to hear what others like me had to say when we offered some red pills. These women were sometimes resistant, but through the scripture were able to see that in fact they were wrong. After that the hard truths became easier to hear because they were no longer convinced by themselves, outside influences, the enemy, or anything else that their position and viewpoints were correct.

Christian women that seek to be the good proverbs wife and fulfill their role are prone to compliance and willingness, but the so-called Christian women that has not repented and looks back like Lot's wife are prone to willfulness and resistance to being changed by God's word and male authority.

This fits perfectly with something I read just this morning:
There is freedom in yielding that can't be found in fighting for control.

In this case, a submissive woman that yields to the Lord and to her man is freer than the woman perpetually locked in battle for control that isn't hers and shouldn't be hers., and ultimately makes her unhappy.
