50 diamond pushups a day keep the idiots at bay, my shoulders are seriously muscular and large as a result of them.
Put on a weighed vest, reduce push-ups to three sets of 15 every three days until shoulders heal. (Higher repetitions can lead to injury from said repetitions. Also, one should not exercise the same target muscles everyday--two times per week minimum will keep you in shape).
Weighed vest should NOT be exaggerated in scope--a few pounds extra should suffice.
If injury is extensive, heat theraphy only for two or three weeks. Once healed, calisthenics only for the first ten days. If indeed healed, you can begin to reintroduce push-ups.
Bench Press with low reps may prove an applicable alternative. Three times per 7 day week.
