Charity in the capitalistic society we live in is used as an income source via Gift Aid, wages, and expenses.
From what we can see major Muslim charities have taken on the model and become no different to Oxfam, Children in Need, and Comic Relief.
When Charity becomes an industry its focus is no longer humanitarian aid but how it can achieve the most profit.
Using clever marketing strategies and small print, they claim to have 100% donation policies, but with the large expenditure and the lack of transparency this is becoming a myth.
Red Nose Day scandal is a good case study on how charity has become an industry, in 2013 £100m for good causes with a lot of questions on how much money was raised and spent.
With the many questions being asked about the use of aid money and how aid is getting across and distributed in Gaza, it seems as major Muslim charities have become no different, presenting one face to the public, but behind the scenes, they are scavengers who feast on donations.
